Default broken stepper Seeburg V200

Hi guys,

I have a problem with the stepper of the V200. If I make a selection on the
juke box, the carriage scans and plays the record. But if I make a selection
on the wallbox, I can hear the stepper clicking but the carriage does not
run. If I make an other selection on the juke box, the carriage scans and
plays the record (not the one from the wall box). Please help!

Your stepper needs to be cleaned and set up according to the manual.
At the moment it doesn't work at all...you might try exchanging the
2050 tubes to see if the jukebox still plays selections, if the
jukebox stops selecting then the stepper 2050 would have been bad.

Thanks John, bud I already check the tubes and cleaned the contacts. If I
make a selection the letter and number step relays are working fine bud
there is no selection made. I used the stepper for over two years without a
singe problem, but last week it stopped working.

Useful information...the problem then is in the write cycle for the
stepper. If the contact wiper(s) are not making contact then you would
get a similar result. Likewise a problem with the write relay (no
manual in front of me though)...the process requires that both step up
units are latched, then the pulse is sent through the contacts and off
to the tormat. If it is not writing then the problem is somewhere in
that area.
I would be checking contacts with an ohm meter to make sure they are
electrically closed when they look closed...

John, broken coil of the timing relay 2. All contacts checked and adjusted.
Jukebox working fine again!

Thanks, Martin
