Pennsylvania Assembly November 11, 1755 My pick - #1 #2. I don't like the position of the wording "Grand Canyon State" it is in approx. the middle of the design and is a distraction. #3. Is at least OK, I like the cactus but is that the Grand Canyon in the background or a generic desert scene? #4. Powell's expedition was important but it comes off as honoring Powell more than Arizona. #5. The Navajo code talkers - see above. Their actions were important in WWII but what does that have to do with Arizona other than the fact they were from there? It would be more appropriate for a series of coins honoring WWII actions. |

I like either 1, 2, or 3 and wouldn't be disappointed with any of the three.
If I were rating them in order of preference, it would be 2, 3 and then 1. 4 and 5 don't do anything for me. Looks like #2 is leading the pack with #1 a close second. Now it looks like #5 is ahead-- someone must be 'spamming' the vote. #1 is not going to look good on a coin. I think #2 and #3 are best; preferably #3, it's less cluttered. |
