There has been no new posts since August 8. I unsubscribed and
resubscribed, but that did not solve the problem. Where is everybody?

Tony, "everybody" (me included) is here, and there are plenty of new posts.
Maybe you need to find a more reliable newsserver ;-) At any rate, you
might want to read the news through Google, which is stable, but slow.
