Numismatics is a science. It has no skull, numb or otherwise. Numismatists
are those who study and practice the science. They have skulls, which on
occasion can be, as you say, numb. Since they are often hunters of coins as
well, the Biblical name of Nimrod may indeed apply. Natch!
