Wurlitzer 3600 cancel solenoid problems need advise

Hello,
I have a wurlitzer 3600 that used to work fine for several years .
Now it will not cancel the selector pins .
I have watched it and sometimes it does nothing and some times the
cancel solenoid does press on the pin but its very weak and its not
enough pressure to push the pin back down . I replaced the cancel
solenoid with a nos cancel soenoid and it does the exact same thing.
The light under the carriage lighs up when its suposed too also but
the light looks like its a weak signal also.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to check the CANCEL microswitch, this is located under the gear
box on the rear of the front frame. Identify it in the service manual
and replace and adjust it as described. You can make a loop on a generic
microswitch - just make sure you use a switch that can handle at least 5
amps, watch for the video game switches that are 0.5A!
