Seeburg >Technical Help Needed< - Please-
First of all Happy New Year to all of you ..
since a few days I have a Seeburg Musical Bandshell USC1 from 1971. It is my first Seeburg. I am trying to get familiar with it because I am not the Seeburg expert. Used to work on Rock-Ola, Wurlitzer (european) and NSM. Who cares .. But there are some problems to solve. Turning on mains, the mechanism goes up and down without picking up any record. By the way, selecting a record is not possible. Why not? No way to give him any credit. Not by coin-credit-switch, and not by manual-credit-switch. While scanning, I switches the XK3100-Relay by hand after pulling off the plastic, the mechanism stops scanning, picks up the record, plays it normal, at the end of the cycle, the mechanism puts the record back and starts scanning all over again until tirning off mains. I read something about a black and a grey box, a tormat, rca-jack and so on. As I already told, I am not a Seeburg expert so I will take a look at Tony Miller's Seeburg Website and hope to get some infos how the tormat is working, troubleshooting and so on. Besides, only the right channel is working fine. The left channel is dead. Q5109 and Q5110 seem to work fine. Q5115 and Q5116 are missing. So I also need a diagram of the amplifier to check out what parts I need. I don't know where to start up. Any experts here who would like to help. Could be a long trip .. Sending any pictures is not a problem. I have a digicam. Regards, Ron |
