Default Composition of the Yen notes

Hi,

Anyone out there know what the composition of the "paper" they print
the yen on is made of? To me it doesn't seem as good as the dollar or
they euro stuff but I really see really bad yen notes. Is the stuff
they print it on really great or does the Bank of Japan just do a lot
of removing the torn up notes from circulation.

The worst notes, IMHO, are the Canadian ones. I was up there a few
months ago a few times I asked for coins because I didn't want the
fives and tens they tried to give me in change for a fifty. In the UK
too, the five pound note is really gross more often than not.

I'm getting off course, old age, Does anyone know about the
composition of the yen note paper.

Thanks or as they say in Japan ¤É¤¦¤â¤¢¤ê¤¬¤È¤¦¡£ D¨*mo arigat¨*

Yes, I know what the Yen is printed on.

Ever since the first yen notes, the yen has been printed on paper from
mulberry bark, which give it the slight brown tint.
