Springpatch seems to be $3.389 to $3.479 today (4/11/08).

I saw $3.579 up at Gilman, Illinois (on I-57, south of Kankakee) last
Monday; but not all stations there had Gasoline priced so high.

Diesel is $3.969 to $4.099 per US Gallon. It really sucks to be a
truck driver right now, unless you have a good contract with fuel
escalator clauses.

AND, the U.S. Mint primary dealer in Silver Eagles here in Springpatch
wants $24.00 for a single silver eagle OTC - and he doesn't seem to
have very many on hand, a most unusual situation.

Will we remember these as very very high prices someday, or very very
low prices?? I'd bet the latter.

up at McDonald's. The woman glanced at it briefly then accepted it without
a word. I think there was a tinge of doubt in her as to the authenticity
but so much new money has been coming out lately that I think she figured it
must be OK.

it's pretty ugly and stupid looking. I wonder what they will do with
the 100? It's not worth anything anymore at least it could be pretty
to look at.
