In case anyone is interested in George Washington's signature and
needs real items to compare it to, I have the best source. I visited
Monticello, home of the President (and what's unique is they have the
bed and all original furnishings in his modest bedroom ... and the bed
supposedly was never touched since his death in it... eerie. Anyway,
Mount Vernon has a site that has a link to all the historical
documents for those wishing to study the items. It's something like
www.mountvernon.org

I saw many documents/books with his signature on it and that signature
there on Ebay doesn't look familiar...

ok. w/o sounding too dumb...i would never know if this is good or not except by
the price and the fact that IT'S EVEN ON EBAY. but other than that, and the
fact that i would never be interested in it anyway...i don't know how all of
you WHO HAVE NEVER GOTTEN HIS AUTOGRAPH PERSONALLY can make this assumption
that this item is not real...ever. otherwise....keep up the good work,
autograph cops.

Simple rule of thumb considering autographs on ebay: everything is fake
until proven otherwise

I stopped looking all together. Way to many fakes out there to weed through
for a good one. I'll spend my time visiting GOOD, that may be an oxy moron,
autograph collections and collecting in person. I haven't bought an
autograph in nearly 3 years.

To be honest, it is getting so bad, I think nearly everything I see is fake
and I specialize in an area, autoracing, that is easy to collect.

If anyone has any question that this item is not even good for toilet paper for
barefoot, then take me up on a bet.
I will put $10,000 in escrow. The doubter puts $1000 in escrow. We win the
item on ebay (probably for no more than $200) and then submit it to a
scientific lab for an ink test. This will date the ink and convince any
skeptic, that this autograph is a piece of bogus crap.
