Default Obliteration on stamp of Greenland

Hello,

Who can give me his opinion onto the obliteration of this stamp ?

http://cjoint.com/?bkueI4hOIH

Is it a normal obliteration ?

Is it a false obliteration ?

Thank you for your opinions.

Holsteinsborg is the name of a Danish settlement in Greenland.
Most settlements used postmarks similar to this. Before 1936
it was spelled Holstensborg (without the i).

(You can see a page of postmarks from my collection at
http://www.jaypex.com/Denmark/Gpp8.htm, or the whole
collection at http://www.jaypex.com/Denmark/denmark3.html.)

These postmarks are listed in the GF1 catalog by Wowern.
Unfortunately, yours is listed as one used exclusivly on
cancelled-to-order stamps created after they were no longer
valid. Your stamp should be marked to that effect on the
back (in Danish).

BTW, genuine Holsteinsborg postmarks are all in typefaces
with serifs.

Holsteinsborg (previous name) was a town in Greenland. It is now known
as Sisimiut. (1996 pop. 5,117), in Sisimiut districxt, West Greenland.

Sisimiut is the second largest town in Greenland, it is a fishing
center with a modern canning factory and several shipyards.

Your stamp is a parcel post stamp.

I am no expert in this area. but would recommend this excellent site
for further information.
