1981 $1 s/n E99938537H

today I got an odd $1 FRN note in change, with a very high s/n.

Series 1981 E99938537H

checking http://www.sit.wisc.edu/~dmoffitt/serials/alls.html shows this note
not printed. Did they make uncut sheets back then and somebody cut it up?
If so, why don't they report these as being printed?

mark the 1981's
Most of the back plate numbers are 3273 but on the H1 position it has an error
7273
this is also on the EE and EF sheets
I have the other errors need that one
mine are on uncut sheets of 4 notes.

Schwartz - Oakes "Standard Guide to Small-Size U. S. Paper Money"
reports the Series 1981 E-H block as "uncut sheet only". The
serial number range is NOT reported in their Appendix 1 of Uncut
Sheets, however ...
