(RCSD) Turkey - Issue of 1923-25
Hello Rodney: This issue is quite complex. Scott only lists 19 numbers and 4 sub numbers, but there are many more. (at least 43) These stamps are seen perf 11, 12, 13.5, and 13,5 x 12 They are seen part perf and imperf. Issue of 1923 (perf 13.5) (22 stamps) Three shades of the 5 Piastre (2 purple and 1 violet) http://www.seymourfamily.com/bill's%20stamp%20collection/T/Turkey/Stamp_Images/Turkey-613-13.jpg http://www.seymourfamily.com/bill's%20stamp%20collection/T/Turkey/Stamp_Images/Turkey-613a-13.jpg Issue of 1924 (perf 11) (11 stamps) Two shades of the 5 Piastre (2 purple) http://www.seymourfamily.com/bill's%20stamp%20collection/T/Turkey/Stamp_Images/Turkey-613a-11.jpg Issue of 1924-25 (perf 12) (10 stamps) Two shades of the 5 Piastre (1 "blue" and 1 purple) http://www.seymourfamily.com/bill's%20stamp%20collection/T/Turkey/Stamp_Images/Turkey-613-12.jpg http://www.seymourfamily.com/bill's%20stamp%20collection/T/Turkey/Stamp_Images/Turkey-613g-12.jpg I hope that this helps. Thanks Blair, at the current moment, I do not have enough examples to compliment your research but I'll keep it for the future. The first image you link, may illustrate the "grey paper" issue Chris was talking about. "Blair (TC)" wrote in message ... Hello Rodney: This issue is quite complex.
