WWII U.S. Hi-Speed Gasoline Company Ad Military Photo Album Set, c.1940

This WWII U.S. Gasoline advertisement military photo album set is in
excellent condition. It is a collection of WWII storied photos that were
distributed weekly over a 52-week period by the Hi Speed Gasoline Company in
the 1940s. The album is titled, (Victory Club Album, Official Government
Photographs). It was only given to the Victory Club Members of the Gas
Company. The photos measure 6 ½ inches 8 ½ inches and are sequentially
numbered. They are mounted in a leatherette type album measuring 7 ½" x 10".
The cover of the album has a large eagle with wings stretched out and
titled, (Victory Club Album, Official Government Photographs). The first 16
photographs are mounted, the rest are not. The photographs show scenes of
airplanes, ships, naval battles, land battles, artillery, troop movements,
and more. Each photograph has a description of the picture at the bottom.
The album is in excellent condition. The set is missing two photos (the last
two, numbers 51 and 52). There is no damage to either album or photographs.
There are no tears, creases, folds, water damage, soiling, or any other
damage. Also included is a newspaper article (dated Nov. 2001) describing an
identical album and local dealers evaluation of the item. The minimum set
for this item is well below the true value as seen in the newspaper article.
