U.S. Vietnam Era Officers Pilots Leather Flying Boots, Exc.

This is a pair of U.S. Vietnam Era Leather Flying Boots in excellent
condition. These were bought from the vet who owned them. He was a Captain
and a pilot flying KC-135 refueling airplanes in Vietnam from 1968-71. The
boots have 10-eyelets. What is unique is that they lace to a middle section
that also has 10-eyelets for the laces but also has a zipper. One uses the
zipper to remove the boots rather than undo the laces. The brass zipper is
marked (Scovill). The boots are size 11D. They are marked on the inside
(11D, HB 4-68, OSA-100-68-C-2220). The boots have leather soles and rubber
heels. The heels are marked (Armoktred). The boots are in excellent
condition. The leather is still soft and pliable.
