Default Found Canadian 25 cent Bank Note

Just wondering what it might be worth (if the conditions were right).

Written on the note:

The Dominion of Canada
will pay on demand

25 cents
Department of Finance Canada

Ottawa, July 2nd 1923.
A-1

On the front is a black/white graphic of someone with a helmet holding a
spear (similar to king neptune's spear)

Front of note is black & white, with a bit of brown. Serial number is red.
On the back of the note, there is a green graphic that says 25 cents.

It all depends on the condition, and who signed the note. The value
can probably run from about $10 (Canadian) for a real "rag" up to
several hundred dollars for a note that is in "Uncirculated"
condition, which means no folds, no wear, and looks like it's brand
new.

As a quick note, don't try to clean or iron it to improve it's
condition. It won't work, and will actually lower the value.

To tell you more closely, someone would need to actually look at it.
Grading is one of those "half art, half science" things, espcially if
the note is in any way "unusual".

A good source for info is "The Charlton Standard Catalogue of
Canadian Government Paper Money"--I'm guessing that your local library
has a copy.
