Default Iranian stamp destruction

We've discussed the recent trend away from collectible used stamps
due to the inability to save them off cover - self-adhesive stamps that
are almost impossible to remove from paper, the new Machin stamps with
the security cut-outs, etc. I recently received a stamp catalogue from
Iran that had 13 of these things on the envelope. They're apparently a
tamper-evident holographic stamp, with a plastic covering that is
removed in order to "cancel" the stamp and indicate that it was postally
used.

Ugly, ugly, ugly. Be that as it may, I can't find these things in
my new Iranian catalogue, nor are they mentioned on the UPU / WNS stamp
listing. The only reference I could find on a quick look was this eBay
listing:

Does anybody know anything about these horrible things?

Strange that Ebay no longer watermarks the images.
I have not come across these as yet.
