remove pelikan nib from unit
How do i remove the nib from a Pelikan nib/feed unit? A previous post to this group suggests that i slide the steel ring off first, but that ring is pretty tight. Thanks in advance! -- Why is a vegetable something to hide? |

Yes, use a knock-out block by all means - it's really the only way to go. But I can tell you that getting the nib and feed back in the ring is difficult, soap or no soap, and the result is often a loose ring. This means that the nib and feed can move a bit afterwards. Best to leave alone if you can. Regards Tony On Tue, 8 Jul 2003,09:23:00, BLandolf wrote On Tue, 08 Jul 2003 21:58:53 +0900, Garglemonster wrote: How do i remove the nib from a Pelikan nib/feed unit? That ring is what holds the nib and feed together. If it were loose, the nib would wiggle around on the feed. A knockout block works best for removing the feeder ring. Maybe it was just pure luck, but i didn't have much of a problem getting it all back together again. Fairly easy in my book, and the ring is pretty tight. So far anyway...
