Second, dollar coins don't "weigh down" your pockets. In fact, it has

*decrease* the weight of coins in your pocket.

Purchase any item less than $1 with a $5 bill and receive your change
in four $1 bills and change, or four golden dollar coins and change.
Which weighs more? The change with the four dollar coins will ALWAYS
weigh more than the change with the paper, regardless of the use or
disuse of cents.

Wouldnt the best option be recieving 2 $2 bills?

If the $1 bill were to be eliminated, the $2 would probably become more
used.

Personally, I dont see why they dont all coexist. I lived a few years
in Brasil where the $1 coin and bill were just as popular as the $2
bill.Theyre all useful in seperate situations.

Unfortunatly, after 10 years of coexisting, the $1 bill was finally
retired earlier this year. Theyre no longer produced but remain in
circulation.

In my part of the US, you would be nearly as likely to receive change
in a single $4 bill as two $2's

and yes, I know there are no $4 bills...
