Clear Ink
Yesterday I bought a cute cheapie rollerball that was by a cash register. I thought it was kind of cool that it wrote with clear ink from its transparent ink chamber. The ink comes out the color of the cap, which in this case was purple. It also comes in blue and pink. It's the Uni-ball Fusion. Does anybody know how the ink works? Is there a filter that changes the ink color before it comes out of the nib? Chemicals? Magic? Any other ideas? Nancy |

Nancy I've got one of those, somewhere. I'm fairly certain that it's a colorizing filter, or a solid-dye chamber that the ink has to pass through, as an o2 chemical reaction would take at least SOME time to occur (i.e., not five minutes, but it wouldn't be instant) and the ink seems to be purple when it hits the page. ~14:30 |

I'll bet David Blaine uses a clear ink pen that turns colors! ; ) Nancy |
