Finally a Paper Find at the Bank
I had to cash a cheque at my bank this morning, I usually ask for the Ike
Dollars, pre 1970 halves etc and sometimes I get them, my most recent acquisition from the bank was a 1969 Half. Anyway I always ask for interesting paper money that looks like it is older, but in several years I have never gotten anything. Today that luck changed and I got a series 1934 $20 from the Cleveland district. It grades VF and is actually a nice keeper. Where I live we have a lot of older people so the bank can be happy hunting grounds if you time your visit right. I got a 1928 and 1976 $2 out of a register at Target tonight. Cashier was probably 19 and didn't want to them from the guy in front of me. |
