Star Collector Mailbox - 10/4

Yes, this is not an illusion. I actually received a success, the first one
since early summer. At first, I thought that my mailbox has been vandalized
because the mailbox spiders were all disturbed because a large envelope had
destroyed their webs and, well, there was a large envelope in the box. lol

Anyway, this was actually a resend. I originally sent a 'Hogan's Heroes'
cast picture out and had it signed by Mr. Robert Clary and Dawson. I then
sent it off to Mr. Ivan Dixon to try and get all of the surviving original
members. That was 5 years ago and the picture was never seen again. I
tried mailing Mr. Dixon twice asking that it be returned if he didn't want
to sign it. No response. Odds are, it went in the garbage one way or
another. Well, I sent individual head shots to both Mr. Clary and Mr.
Dawson explaining the situation. Clary returned his rather quickly, signed
and inscribed. With Dawson, I wasn't sure what to expect. Time went by and
I assumed it was a goner. Surprise!

Wow, Gummby-572, had to laugh. You came close to my longest return, 4 years!

LOL I've actually had longer. My marathon wait, so far, is 5½ years...
give or take a month. I just woke up, so the celeb's name isn't popping to
my head, but I wrote to her via a singing venue she was doing. I had
actually forgotten about it and was pleasantly surprised to find it in the
mailbox. Eartha Kitt. That's who it was. It wasn't my SASE, but it was my
picture though. I'm glad that I always include my mailing address in the
body of the letter too, just in case the envelope is separated from the
letter. That's the only reason that I can think of for my SASE not to be
used.

I had a lot outstanding before I moved house from a few months to a few
years so I guess I will never know if they reply or not.
I can only forward the mail so long lol
