Default RE juke info being removed from free library

just so it is know A company that always charges high prices for
jukebox information is making a claim that we have reproduced what he
is selling
despite the fact the our juke files literally came from 10 different
sources

so to this effect to avoid issues some files will be removed from this
page by end of day

if you have any juke brochures we could replace these with email us at

Why not name them? Most of these claims in situations like this
are B.S. and bluster. From a legal standpoint one can only claim a
copyright to either their own original material, new or added notation
or if they have obtained the rights from a previous rights holder. In
the case of this old jukebox stuff most of it was never copyrighted,
or has long-since lapsed into public domain (often along with the
company).

We are going to see an increasing use of these sorts of threats as
paid published material gives way to online forums. Given the scope of
the internet, eventually nearly everything in this hobby will be
available free and mostly from the original sources.

One was to frustrate profiteers is to post items into third-party
hosting sites and simply have links on your own site. It's not as neat
as having it on your own template but many of these hosting sites are
beyond the reach of U.S. law and, at any rate, pursuing a case
involving international law is well beyond what the sorts of
characters harassing you will be capable of.

Persevere, and eventually the dogs will stop barking.
