Standard Catalog of World Paper Money future
I was talking to some friends and they are sure the Pick Paper
Money Catalog will be discontinued. I read about improving it and also discussed about getting a catalog on the web, but anyone knows something about their market share and if they are financially interested in this publication. Regards to all collector friends, Regis Giampersa http://www.notafilia.com.br/ |

Regards to all collector friends, Regis Giampersa http://www.notafilia.com.br/ As far as I know there is not any other catalog like it. Maybe they are not selling enough of them anymore to make it worthwhile to continue it. If most people are using it as a pricing reference I would suspect that Ebay has taken its toll on the importance of the catalog for many people. |

Standard Catalog of World Paper Money future
It won't be discontinued. Ebay is likely to have contributed to an
increase in sales of the catalogue with new collectors wanting some sort of price guide to base their buying decisions on. However it is likely that in the future online subscriber catalogues will become more popular. Most numismatic dealers update their catalogue with every update and most serious collectors are the same. Also advertising revenue makes it a viable publication. paulistaner wrote: I was talking to some friends and they are sure the Pick Paper Money Catalog will be discontinued. Standard Catalog of World Paper Money future
Regis,
I just got off the phone with George S. Cuhaj, editor of the catalog for KP Books. He says there's no truth to this rumor and that they will continue to publish the catalog as long as it's profitable, which he claims it is. While he refused to divulge sales figures for obvious reasons, he did reveal that they have already ordered a second print run of the latest catalog. If you're interested in ordering a copy of the 12th edition, George says Amazon still has copies in stock: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...93561/oweninkA On 6/25/06 10:45 AM, in article , "paulistaner" wrote: I was talking to some friends and they are sure the Pick Paper Money Catalog will be discontinued.
