Default Price needed: Rock-Ola 4000

I'm a video game collector and have no idea on juke pricing.
I have a customer that wants a 4000 but have no idea on what to
tell him price wise. A local op has one for sale, working with 100 cd's
for $2k.
We are all in California if that makes any difference.

Thanks for any help,

Stephen

Stephen,

RUN! Run away! Quick!

I just sold a 5000-X for $950 sans CD's. A 4000 would book for about $100-150 less.

UNLESS.... the CD player has been upgraded to the CDM-12 / Pro series and the juke is immaculate with all new CD's loaded on it. That might make it worth what they are asking. The down side would still be the membrane keypad assembly and bill validator.

One last note: Rock-Ola is no longer making a commercial model jukebox with a CD player. You probably know what happened in the home market on pinball when most major manufacturers ceased production. We may see this trend repeated on CD jukes.

Stephen these typically go at auctions for about 25-35% of what your
local op wants for this jukebox. For that price, I'd expect both an
upgraded player AND a 6 month warranty. Drebber's response was
correct. RUN! Run away! Quick!
Upgraded used Rowes normally sell for about half that, and in my
opinion would be a better deal (parts are ALOT easier to obtain should
you need them)
