I've been doing this for a decade and before that I did it at a slightly slower rate (maybe a $1000 a week) for another decade. How do you distribute or circulate them? Do you have a store or business? Otherwise I can't imagine spending $2,000 in cash every week or over $100,000 a year. |

Still not getting them put back in circulation. The cashiers either
stick them under the register or pocket them to collect 'em. That may be true, since many folks freak when they're paid in presidential dollars, but the coin shows are having themselves a field day selling $2 notes by the reprinted truck load. In that regard, doesn't it strike you odd that the US mint is producing money for retail sale as much as for use in circulation? It does me, because I know they're not supposed to be doing it, and if the crafters of the original constitution we alive today, everyone involved would be swinging at the end of a rope. |

I work for a giant company with thousands of employees (hourly, salaried) and many of the people I interact with every day exchange their boring $20s that they get from the ATM for more exciting Twos and dollar coins. I also supply them with each of the State Quarters when they come out. For those who do not want dollar coins or Twos for everyday use, but who want the state quarters, I make them buy many rolls fo dollar coins to get a roll of state quarters. many of them have not been inside a bank branch in almost 10 years. It also helps that all the vending machines accept dollar coins. They have been able to for decades. |

About a year ago I entered 100 $2 bill's bringing my lifetime $2 bill count up to something like 105. While my average hit rate is over 25%, I have yet to get a hit on a single $2 bill. I guess people kept them or returned them to banks who culled them. Or perhaps they're in hiding. IF |

So, the thing to do is flood your area with Twos and spend them for all purchases everywhere. Heck, even pay your big bills at bill-pay places with Twos and dollar coins. Soon, there will be enough that the hoarders won;t think of them as "rare" anymore and they will re-circulate many of them. I only George-stamp a small fraction of the Twos I circulate, but I'm getting some hits. An average of 5 a week. |
