Default preservation question I've never seen come up before...

I just received some FANTASTIC looking Romeo and Juliet lobby
cards/photos from the 1970's (Franco Zefferelli version. They are in
great shape meaning that they look new and are not yellowed or
stained/ripped etc. HOWEVER... they smell moldy! I don't see mold,
but if you've ever been in an old fashioned second hand store or your
grandmothers attic, you know what I am talking about.... does anyone
know a way to get rid of this smell quickly? Any help would be
appreciated.

Try placing them between sheets of newspaper, than place some heavy books or
something on top of them. I've hear that newspaper is great at obsorbing
odors.

Thanks Steve, Right now I was airing them out... then gonna try a
baking soda idea someone emailed me about; maybe I can put a layer of
newspaper and the banking soda on that! then a photo, layer it!
