David,

Most likely your player assembly has failed. Even if you can detect the laser emission, it may be too weak to be within specifications.

However, you should check the input voltages and connections just to be on the safe side. Do you have schematics?

Respectfully,

David

David,

I guess I should have asked if you had a VOM and was fimiliar with operating it, also. Nonetheless, to check the power to the player assembly (assuming you have the SyberSonic Electronics System as I couldn't find a 7500 manual) go to J8 on the front of the CPU mounted in front of the mechanism. Voltages should read as follows:

Pin 1 = +12VDC (switched)
Pin 5 & 6 = Ground
Pin 7 = +5VDC
Pin 8 = +9VDC

I'm not sure, but you may have to have the juke attempting to play a CD in order to read the +12VDC Switched.

If all voltages are good, most likely it is the player assembly because once the CPU tells it which track to play on the CD, it is autonomous. It will look at the Table of Contents on the CD, then play the track it is instructed to play. The CPU merely sits and waits on a failure message or the end of track signal before it instructs the player to do anything else.

Respectfully,

David
