Found my SIC Manny Ramirez...04 Series
hey all-
I was just going thru my collection this afternoon, looking for a couple of my prominent Red Sox. Amazing how the autographs of Curt Schilling and Manny Ramirez have changed over the years. I got Curt's autograph back in '93, when he came thru with the Rochester Redwings. I have a '89 Donruss, and a '93 Donruss, almost every Single letter, by Curt. I then found my Manny Ramirez signed IC. I met him back when he was in A ball with the Kinston Indians. Even in A ball, he had the major league autograph-"MaRam_______z, (i)dot". He was here in town to play the Peninsula Pilots, then affiliate of the White Sox. He came out of the clubhouse, stopped and signed for me. Amazing, I was the only one around at the time, and only a handful at the game that evening... As for the Cards-I have a ton of cards signed by Jason Isringhausen, when he was here in AAA Norfolk. Tony LaRussa signed TTM, around '93. Over all-great World Series! happy hunting- pe2 |

Over all-great World Series!
I don't know about that. Just like last year, the playoffs were awesome and then the World Series was a dud. The Red Sox showed up but no one else did. Like the joke goes...What do you call 25 men standing around watching the World Series? The Cardinals. JC |

Great one! I noticed none of the Sox seem particularly articulate.
That brought me to ask my hubby if college was part of baseball and we never thought about it before, but really whereas football players are drafted out of college as are basketball players, most baseball players come out of high school? Seems that way. I wonder what the stats are for that! One question if anyone knows. I asked my hubby and he didn't know. Has any one city ever won all four major sports titles in the same calendar year? Ie Superbowl, World Series, Stanley cup?
