TECH: Rockola 477 Max HELP!!!!
Hello -
I have a Rockola 477 Max that when it gets done playing a record - The arm does not return and the record is not picked up and placed back into the magazine..... Pushing the Cancel Button on the back does nothing... Any Advice???? John |

Make sure your tone arm cancel switch is clean and making contact when the needle goes into the cut-off groove. Check the wiring from said switch to the Mechanism Power Board on the back of the mech. Check for cold solder on the wafer connectors of the Mechanism Power Board. Check the relays on the Mechanism Power Board for contact tarnish or pitting. Check for continuity across the coil of the Reverse Relay (K302). Check for continuity across Cam Microswitch #1 from Com to N.O. . About the only part that cannot be bench tested is the Timing Module P.E.C. 301 on the Mechanism Power Board. Hope this finally gets your machine on the straight and narrow.... |
