For my money it isn't a calligraphy pen, well western style
calligraphy anyway. I think it is supposed to simulate an oriental
brush pen.

Thanks for the link. So I guess I'll go around using it to write stylized
regular words. Either way I won it and I think it's really neat (if they had
just put a clip on it).
