wurlitzer CD replacement ?

Default wurlitzer CD replacement ?

Hi

I have a carnegie to repair .
CDM3 appears to be Faulty.
Have been quoted AUD 1300 (USD 900)
for a Cd replacement is this a good price

You need the CDM12PRO upgrade kit...there are few if any good CDM3's
left in existence, although we have had some success with reviving
them.

Have you tried cleaning the lens on the player? Also these players
will NOT work with CDR (home made CDs), only commercial ones.

to clarify that - its many of the CDM 12 that wont work with CD-R not
CDM 3.

The later CDM 12 are better I believe



Also - is there actually a CDM 12 update kit available for the
wurlitzers ? Ther is for ROWE but I have no idea of other brands

The CDM-3 really can't play the CD-R's, as well as the CDM-4I/S or
CDM12. Only with the later CDM-PROs could the CD-R be played reliably.

And (Deutsche) Wurlitzer does make a kit for the PRO to upgrade their
machines.
