Does some one here know this club, is perhaps member? On French forum FRP some one gives me only an andress where it is listed. Spanish stamp club

I have not heard of this one - for a Spanish exchange ( including South American members) log on to "Selloland" where there is an active exchange board. I am not a Spanish speaker so I cannot vouch for how good the content - but I visit occasionally and there always seems to be something in progress. Malcolm |

I have visited the various fora of Selloland and found them rather interesting and polite. I say polite because I have dropped a number of newsgroups over the last few months because of the amount of spam and of lack of civility between posters. I contributed a few times to their main (more or less discussions) forum -- which permits posting of pictures -- about the Argentinian Departmental Officials and replies were always polite and to the point. They also have exchange fora including one that, if memory serves me right, specializes in used stamps. Incidentallly, up to last September or so I subscribed to a Spanish language group called es.charla.filatelia. At some point last year the group was taken over by a few posters who started "purity of language" cat-fights between Spaniards and Latin Americans. It got to a point where postings about stamps became so few and far between that I didn't bother any more with the group. Earlier this week I thought of checking up on the group and see if things had improved. No surprise that the group no longer exists but I was definitely surprised to see that I can no longer find any reference whatsoever to it through Google, Yahoo, Altavista ..... Perhaps one of our internet experts can explain to me how to make a newsgroup and its history completely disappear from the Net. Thanks in advance. -- Tony Vella, Ottawa, Canada http://indian-biographies.shorturl.com |
