Default Tech.: Another United UPC100 problem

hi all,
I have a ground fault problem. If plugged into a ground fault receptical, it will pop the fault button it I try to use any of the mechanism logic. If I run the carousel directly (engage the indexing plunger) it runs ok, but if I try the start relay, left or right transfer relays, or lift up the popularity meter window cover lever, it trips the wall outlet. The fuses in the machine or the house circuit breaker do not blow/trip. This would explain why the ground blade was cut off of the cord. I installed a new plug (wired correctly) and have this problem. I have NOT tried using a regular wall socket. I am still unfreezing motors.
Also, any thoughts on why one castor goes up into the socket higher than the rest? It looks ok from the outside. I swapped around the other castors to that location, the same problem, so at least I know all the castors are the same size. So that socket has some kind of problem. Thank you, Rick.

Hi all,
The UPC seems to be the first model that came from the factory that was grounded (its in the schematics and the service receptical is also a 3 blade grounded). So, I freed up all of the motors and its starting to come to life 😲, of course I had to plug it into a normal 3 blade grounded wall outlet, as it will not stay on if I use the ground fault outlet.

I still need to keep cleaning and lubing. Need to go thru all of the relay contacts as some functions occasionally work (like the credits). I can select, the machine goes thru the motions, but does not punch a pin and the carousel gores around once then stops. BUT if I manually select a pin, it will load and play the proper record and put it away. So its coming along. Maybe as i go thru it, i'll find the ground fault (Ron, It does seem to be in the 24V circuit as the mech. is in that circuit). Rick.
