Question Rockola Bubbler CD-8B counter reset?

The book says there is no way to reset the counter on the CD-8B. Would it be possible to replace a IC and have the counter back to zero?

I appreciate all the help here....

Being that this is not an automobile I doubt that there are any Federal laws governing turning the counter back on my unit that is for personal use. After all this is not an odometer on an automobile.

I'm sure I would't be the first one to zero a counter after a machine has been totally gone thru and reconditioned. From talking to some in the business this has been done many times in the past especially with machines with mechanical counters. If I were going to sell this machine then I would let a buyer know that it had XXXX number of plays on it before it was reconditioned. I just wanted to track the plays on it since I went thru it. It will probably never change hands again for several reasons... 1. I put too much in it. 2. Everyone wants something for 75% less than the going price.
I will now open up the schematic take a quick look and order the correct IC to zero the play counter.

Depending on which OS the box is using, you can erase the E2Prom or do a factory reset.

If you ever sell it, it's fraud. For now, record the counters and do the
arithmentic.
