I have a 2006 25 cents that has a crossed pink ribbon emblem on the back,
does anyone know the mintage figure for it? Billy

The RCM hasn't released official figures for the 2006 circulating issues
yet. They typically do so in the spring of the following year. This
"Creating a Future Without Breast Cancer" 25-cent coin probably has a
mintage in the area of 10,000,000.

That's great news as a mintage of 10,000,000 qualifies it for the
description,

RARE LIMITED EDITION LOW MINTAGE COIN MUST SEE

On ebay. :-) Billy

Heh. Maybe they are talking about the NCLT Uncirculated "First Day of
Minting" special version, of which there were "10,000 minted." Does it
come in the fancy folder that removes any doubt as to which day the
coins are minted (hah) or just loose/raw?

D'oh! Forgot to mention: Original issue and current retail price is
C$15.95.

FWIW.

Having had a real close look at it I'm convinced that it's a first strike
coin and thus worth megabucks. :-) Billy

Dontcha know that the the look of the coin coin has nothing to do with the
strike - it's all in the shipping date!

Dang! Another chance to make my fortune goes down the tubes.

Can anyone explain why a coin struck from worn dies but shipped earlier
would be worth more than a coin struck from fresh dies but shipped later?
The latter coin being the superior one. Billy

Something tells me that several slabbing companies are desperately trying to
figure out a way to spin themselves out of the linguistic jam that they are
obviously in.
