Coda
Hello
Sorry for making another Led Zeppelin post. Did they ever release Coda (the one with rejects on it) on 8 track? on another topic (i'm far too lazy to start another post), Were the first Doors albums on 8 track? if so were they in those "Flat-packs"? I finaly found a copy of Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti. All I "need" are Presence and Coda (if it exists) then I can go on and collect Nazareth or Doors tapes Thanks, Rusty |

All the Doors stuff I've seen has been in early Mastro carts. I finaly found a copy of Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti. All I "need" are Presence and Coda (if it exists) then I can go on and collect Nazareth or Doors tapes snip Lots of luck finding "Coda." It's pretty rare, but not impossible. "Presence" is easier. Once youg et "Coda" you'll wonder, "Why the hell did I ever want this, anyway?" dB |

I have it on LP it is an OK album. It definitely wasnt their most
memorable albums. I think I would buy it just for completing my Zeppelin collection. I saw your post on digital radio and Clear Channel. turns out they are starting a station called "the queer channel" in (where else) San Francisco. this is what happens when you have companies buying out independent stations who to cater to minorities to make a small profit while ****ing normal people off. just my two cents (sorry if I offended anyone) check this out: http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/200...channel_a.html Rusty |

I know the 8 track is in the "fairly rare" catagory. To me, the album blows, but it's good to have your collection complete in a single format. I now have all 19 Chicago albums on 8 track...whoop de doo! Now, if I only had them in later CRC grey carts and in Dolby, they'd all sound well, too. One of them's a Stereodyne piece of crap...ick. CBS used Stereodyne for dupe work when they had no other choice. Their carts and dupe plant really blew. Stereodyne's dupe equipment, sold as a cheaper alternative to Ampex at the time, was pretty cheesy. They also falsely claimed to be the "inventors" of high speed duplication, which, of course, is false. I saw your post on digital radio and Clear Channel. turns out they are starting a station called "the queer channel" in (where else) San Francisco. snip Wrong. You need to reread the article, this time with some decent comprehension. KQKE is a long time AM outlet in the Bay Area. This is just a two hour talk show slot that's locally produced, which goes against the grain of big corporate broadcasting, which dictates that everything is nationally homogenized and pureéd into a seamless morass of crap. At least it's local programming! Clear Channel's quite aware that radio is dying because of theirs and former competitor Infinity's miscues. Localized/tailored programming might at least salvage some of the smaller AM outlets from sure doom. As I say, you need to reread the article again for good comprehension. Shooting from the hip like that could make you seem as clueless as Charlie Nudo...no, wait, that would be tough to do, even blindfolded! dB |

There was no Q8 of Coda, that came out around '82 and quads stopped
being manufactured around '78. I like Poor Tom, but that's about the only one.... I have it as a record club issue 8, but I've never seen a store stock copy, as it's from '82, the year all the majors quit 8's for good, I kinda doubt it... |

BEWARE ! |

the majors didn't quit 8's until 1983- most anything released on LP in
'82, was released on 8 |
