Not the link I read that started my own post, but this is pretty
accurate and updated.

I suspect that there will be a David Carr trillyundoller coin-like
object produced and marketed Any Day Now ...

Too bad that Bernard von NotHaus is in the Bernard von Hoosegow,
otherwise he might be tempted to put out a trillyundoller Liberty Doller
coin as well ...

Bernard von Nutjob really crossed the line when he started to issue
paper money, which he was also doing towards the end of his scheme. I
don't think the precious metal coins alone would have resulted in the
immense personal legal disaster which eventually befell him.

Those of you who were dreaming of a quick fix via an executive branch
power grab, my condolences.

Instead of a coin, the Federal Reserve Bank makes a couple of dozen
(or a couple hundred) keystrokes on a computer. Same difference, same
permanent ruin.

Are you familiar with Dr. Gono of Zimbabwe??? Not as much of a joke
as Hank Paulson or Timothy Geithner or Jack Lew.

Which is why I call it "quantatative sleazing." But when the Fed
creates more dollars out of thin air, it doesn't change the nominal
amount of the federal debt, so it doesn't work to sidestep the
statutory debt limit.

I have somewhere around 400 trillion dollars of Zimbabwe notes laying
around, and I've kept a 50 billion dollar Special Agro-Cheque in my
wallet for years.
