For collectors of Hundertwasser, I have just added a new page about Germany
http://arthistory.heindorffhus.dk/fr...15-Germany.htm

and added a new item to the New Zealand-page
http://arthistory.heindorffhus.dk/fr...NewZealand.htm

Both are interesting testimonies of Hundertwasser's unmistakeable art ;-)
Personally I am not sure if I like what is shown on the New Zealand
postcard, but since a collector friend has been so kind to send it to me as
a present, I have found it absolutely relevant to present it on the page.
Enjoy ;-)

I am told that it has been listed for sale already on eBay.

Hello Mette,

Like you I am not a great "fan" of the kind of art showing "****otières"
(urinal basins) or WCs like on this postcard.

This reminds me of another "so-called" work of art by Marcel Duchamp :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fountain_(Duchamp)

I prefer by far the art of Marc Leguay as you beautifully displayed it
on your recent page :
http://arthistory.heindorffhus.dk/frame-Leguay01.htm

:-)

Apparently, this link does not work very well.

Here is an image of this "fountain" :

Depends on your perspective, Pierre.
as a backpacker, the urinals I've had to hold my breath above,
this one looks so good, I could almost move in and pay rent.

Neither have I ever been in favour of Duchamp's art. For me it is simply
"too much".

Yes, I see your point :-) I have been told that they are always kept
remarkblay clean, and that no syringes or similar stuff are left around.

I've been told that somewhere in Europe there is a statue of a
boy urinating. Apparently a prince wandered away from the castle and
a massive search was undertaken. He was found urinating, and in
gratitude a statue was commissioned showing him in the situation in
which he was found.
Any truth to this?

Perhaps "Mannekin pis"
http://cjoint.com/data/kCfjUOhv5F.htm

In Australia, go to any plant and garden centre,
and there is sure to be a fountain, along these lines.
