1984 "The Golden Age of Canadian Figure Skating" 1st Edition Hardcover

I have for sale the out-of-print, 1st edition hardcover book "The Golden
Age of Canadian Figure Skating" by David Young (1984). The 1st edition
contains 200 pages including vintage black and white photographs profiling
the Golden Age of Canadian Figure Skating.
Front Jacket Excerpt:
"A difinutive, blonde athletic figure-skater from Ottawa won a world title
in the grey days immediately after World War II and captured the hearts of
millions of Canadians who had never seen her skate. Barbara Ann Scott, who
became the nation's sweetheart, began an era in which Canadians carried
home international medals by the dozens. It was a golden age that produced
skaters like Frances Dafoe and Norris Boeden, Barbara Wagner and Robert
Paul, and Donald Jackson. Names that were household words in Europe....,
but like many other Canadian achievers, hardly recogized in their own
country. This book is the story of Canada's thirteen gold medalists, their
fellow competitors and the skating pioneers who blazed the way in the early
years. Included are many fascinating insights into politics and
gamesmanship of international competition and judging, and the teaching
techniques of the coaches who helped put Canadian skating on the world map."
