It didn't sell on May 10th at

# PORSCHEAHMET UNIQUE 1882 $10 NBN DATE BACK CGA GEM 68
# Buy It Now or Best Offer $189,359.00

so I guess he decided to raise the price and try again ...

I wunder if he'll do the same with his

# PORSCHEAHMET ONLY KNOWN 1928 $1000 GOLD CERT CGA GEM 67
# Buy It Now or Best Offer $20,995,000.00

that went unsold on May 8th ...

According to IBNS grading guide lines a note is either uncirculated or it's
not and there are NO degrees of uncirculated so how come this note is graded
as "gem uncirculated"? Billy

Ahmet has been the subject of much comment on the PCGS currency
message
board. He has his own "currency palace" down in Florida that looks
quite impressive.

He is mostly the subject of ridicule over his prices, hard to tell if
he is really serious
or is just trying to draw attention to himself. Most of the stuff he
actually sells on Ebay
is moderately priced material which can be seen by checking his
feedback.

I know that if i had that kind of money to spend on a note, or number of
notes, there are plenty of auctions around where the money would go a lot
farther. -David

It is stamps, therefore OT, but I feel moved to mention that these guys
have an auction coming up, with some bed-wettingly attractive British QV
(the William H Gross collection)

Considering the record for the sale at auction of a single banknote is
just over $1.2 million I think he will have a hard time getting $9.7
million for this one.

The eBay insertion fee for any item starting at (or with a
reserve set at) $500 or more is $4.80. Duzzint matter if
it's $500, $5,000 or $50,000,000, it's still costs just
four-eighty to list it ...

Some people consider this inexpensive advertising ...
