I have two books of uncirculated $2 bills (10 per book) from 1976 I
received as a gift way back when and just recently relocated. Can anyone tell me the current value and how to go about "cashing" them in? Thank you. |

You may cash them in just like you would any other denomination of current USA banknotes at any location that accepts USA banknotes anywhere in the USA and in many foreign countries. I hope that this helps! :-) -- ___________________________________________ ____ _______________ Regards, | |\ ____ | | | | |\ Michael G. Koerner May they | | | | | | rise again! Otherwise if they have any wear or use you can just spend them. The 1976 notes are still the most common even though they were again printed with 1995, 2003 and 2003-A dates. I have 4 of them in my wallet right now to spend today. |

Ha.... I beat YOU. I have 6 of them in my wallet right now :-) And all of
the 2003 $2 bills I get from the bank are NEW and uncirculated. Do you know when there will be another printing of $2 bills - such as 2006 or 2007? "Sibirskmoneta" wrote in message ... Sorry but now I have 8 of them as my kids were going to spend theirs today and I bought them off of them to prevent their being spent wantonlessly. |

(I think April 13, 1976) If so, you might get a small premium from a collector of such things on Ebay. Otherwise, as everyone has said, these are simply Federal Reserve Notes like any other and can be spent anywhere US currency can be spent. There's no such thing as "cashing them in" -- they ARE cash. If you want to get change for them, you could ask your local bank. Padraic Thank you. -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

WARNING - $2
A WARNING. If you live the Pontiac, Michigan area, and if you go to the Old
Country Buffet restaurant there, they may refuse to take your $2 bills. That happened to me a few weeks ago. I was pretty dumbfounded when it happened, and did not ask the manager at the time. I called the next day and talk with "a manager", who said YES, they do take $2 bills since they are "legal tender". He said the casher probably never saw a $2 bills before. It is pretty amazing how there are so many ignorant people out there in our society - Very Scary Dan "Padraic Brown" wrote in message ...
