Default Baltimore August 12-14, 2005

The August 12-14, 2005 (Dealer Day August 11th) Baltimore Coin and
Currency Convention will be the 50th Show/Convention sponsored by show
promoters Gordon Wells Berg and Edward Kuszmar, and promises to be a
very exciting numismatic event.

The second summer Baltimore Coin and Currency Convention will be much
larger than the first summer Convention last year, and due to the
increased dealer demand for bourse table space, the bourse room layout
will be the same size as the larger Spring and Fall Conventions. Many
new dealers will be setting up at Baltimore for the first time, and the
new larger bourse is very close to being completely sold out.

The Baltimore Convention will be held in Halls A & B of the Baltimore
Convention Center, and attendees will be using the Pratt and Charles
street entrance, which is on the N. E. corner of the facility. There is
paid parking all around the BCC, including at Camden Yards (N. W.
corner of the BCC) and at all major hotels downtown. There is always
FREE ADMISSION to the Baltimore Convention and the public is invited to
attend any of the Educational Forum meetings on Saturday, including the
Maryland Token & Medal Society and the Early American Copper Club.

Each youngster (12 or under) who attends the Baltimore Convention
during the weekend will get a daily dip in the Kid's Bucket for a Free
Handfull of Money. Generous dealers and collectors help keep the Kid's
Bucket full of "numismatic goodies" for the youngsters with donations
of all kinds of neat material for the kids. Last March, one very happy
six year old youngsters pulled out a G.I. pack 1884-CC dollar that was
donated by one of the dealers at the show. On Saturday, at 3 P.M.,
Patti Finner (A.N.A. Governor) will host a special Young Numismatist
Program entitled "Money 101". William Massey will also be on hand with
his "coin rolling" machine and many youngsters get the opportunity to
make their own rolled coins.

Grading Services at the Baltimore Convention will include A.N.A.C.S.,
P.C.G.S., N.G.S., I.G.C., and P.C.I, and there will be on-site grading
performed by A.N.A.C.S., P.C.G.S., N.G.C., and P.C.I.

Bowers and Merena (The Baltimore Convention's official auctioneer) will
hold another excellant rare coin and currency auctions in conjunction
with the August Baltimore Convention. For more information concerning
the Bowers & Merena Auction please call 800-458-4646.

The Baltimore Convention will be open to the public starting at 10 A.M.
on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and closes at 7 P.M. (Sunday 4 P.M.).
Thursday's are "Dealer Day and Super Bourse" at the Baltimore
Convention and open to dealers from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Non-tabled dealers
are welcome and gain entry to Super Bourse for a $100.00 Registration
Fee, $25.00 of which goes directly to Children's Hospital (around
$200,000.00 raised to date). Two company checks, a business card, and
home state sales tax number are alo required for entry.

The Baltimore Convention caters to dealers of all sizes, and all kinds
of material, and has several specialty sections for: Ancient and
Foreign Coins and Artifacts, Paper Money, and Neat Collectibles. The
United States Post Office will be on hand with a full service Postal
Service booth and Tidewater Coin and Hobby Supply will offer a wide
assortment of coin, currency, and other hobby supplies. Two numimatic
book dealers will be on hand, as well as several dealers offering Paper
Americana, Columbian Exposition and World's Fair Material, Ephemera,
Postcards, Historical Documents, and a wide range of other neat
Collectibles. Golden Eagle Coin and Jewelry, from Laurel, Maryland will
also present an interesting and popular selection of special gift items
and neat stuff. A-1 Safe Company will be on hand with the latest models
of safes and security equipment. Whitman Publishing will also be on
hand with a wide assortment of numismatic folders and albums, and many
of their other products.

The Inner Harbor of downtown Baltimore is a wonderful location to hold
a major numismatic convention, and the warmer summer weather allows for
some great siteseeing along the harbor, and live entertainment, music,
fireworks and baseball games for the entire family. The Balitmore
Convention Center is also only a fw mintues from many of historic and
tourist attractions such as the Baltimore Aquarium, Ft. Mc Henry, and
various downtown museums and exhibits. It is highly recommended to
bring along the entire family for a wonderful weekend of numismatic
business and pleasure.

The Baltimore Convention also offers youngsters the opportunity to work
as Show Pages during the show, to help dealers who need material passed
out, cleaning cases, or other chores. Ambitious youngsters can easily
make several hundred dollars in tips running errands for the dealers.

A special Souvenir Card ($50.00 Hagerstown Proof Oboslete Note) will be
issued by the Baltimore Coin and Currency Convention and will be
available at the Convention Office for $4.00 each. The U. S. Postal
Service will also hand-cancel your Souvenir Card for the cost of a $.37
stamp. After the Convention if any Souvenir Cards remain they can be
ordered for $4.00 each (uncancelled) and $7.00 each (first day of
issues cancellation) plus $2.00 for postage and shipping.

Plans are already well underway for the December 9-11, 2005 Convention,
and the Super Baltimore Convention, March 17-19, 2006 when Hall C will
be added in to be able to accommodate the increased demand for bourse
table space. Hall C will add a whopping 50% more available space to the
