Default Tech question :1954 AMI F 120 high pitch feedback comming from speakers

My jukebox just started acting up when I play a record now I get i high
pitched
noise or some sort of feedback comming through my speakers. This noise
gets worse when i lift the tone arm up not sure why this is happening.
I never had a problem
like this before the jukebox always played records well and sounded
good.
I could use some help on this problem.

Thanks,

Mickey

This sort of screech can be often traced to a broken ground wire on the
pickup wiring. This is likely to be between the tie point beside the
tone arm to the amp.

Another probability are bad capacitors - have you recapped you
amplifier? Did you do ALL the caps?
