Just a reminder: there are misspelled juke boxes on ebay
I apologize to those who think of my posts as spam -- I'm not trying to
spam anybody... this is just a reminder that people can't spell stuff like "Wurlitzer"! Misspelled items on ebay don't get any bids as a rule. Therefore you can get 'em cheap (or cheapER, anyway) by using my site which can find misspelled items for you. I just did a test run on Wurlitzer, and found this: Vintage 1962 Wulitzer 2610 45 33 Jukebox for Pickup NJ Guess how many bids? ZERO. Now, maybe nobody WANTS that particular juke box, or maybe they don't want to drive to New Jersey, or maybe the starting bid is too high, I don't know. But maybe it's a screaming deal waiting for some shrewd bidder to find! Anyway, try my misspelled-item-finder at: http://www.ebargainsweb.com/spelling.php It's free, no sign-up, no downloads, no nonsense. Have fun. --Dave (at) ebargainsweb (dot) com -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

I dunno... After reading through your post, how can someone NOT think of it
as Spam? If it looks like crap, smells like crap and seems like crap, then it IS crap! That's why I use Linux, no gotchas with Linux software -- unlike questionable Windows apps. Just my 2 cents... |

Dang, that's the suspicion I was trying to avert by saying "no sign-ups, no downloads, no nonsense." The point is, it's not an app at all, at least not one that runs on YOUR computer. It's a server-side thing that takes your query, figures out ways to misspell it, then sends you off to ebay with a new query which is all the possible misspellings. *sigh* Oh well. My advice to anyone who is suspicious is, don't use it. Anyway, thanks for the input, guys. --Dave -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

Well,
There HAS to be some reason that you keep spamming newsgroups with it every few weeks. I don't know if you are trying to get the number of hits on your site up or what, but unless you are that one in a million guy who is honestly just trying to help mankind with no other motive, it's spam. I can tell you why he does it....he is getting paid by ebay
The links flow through a service that tracks winning bids and registrations.... Keith Stelter wrote: Well, There HAS to be some reason that you keep spamming newsgroups with it every few weeks. Ken, you are right. If you buy through a link I know in many cases
ebay gives 50% of the final value fee on anything purchased. This is done through a lot of other websites and is pretty profitable. |

Yep. That is what is going on here. I dont balme him though. It is a
good idea. I think the issue may be with his level of posting. I have ebay links on some of my pages that help visitors find parts for specific machines too. I just dont post about it here. I make a few dollars here and there which helps cover the fees associated with running my site. Coinopwarehouse wrote: Ken, you are right. Actually ebay gives me 40% of whatever they make on a sale. It's pocket change, basically, but it doesn't cost me anything to provide the service, so why not? --Dave (at) ebargainsweb.com -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |
