Question nsm es 160 st fault

i have an es 160 st jukebox and every two or three plays the lifting arm will rise during scanning jamming right up and causing severe damage to my records..............is this a fault of the carraige or the central controller????????? checked every switch in the thing and everything is where it should appear to be.

Hi everyone, first time on here, hoping to help anyone with NSM es160 or es11 problems if i can.
Now from my experience, the only thing that will catch the bottom of your records is the ribbon cable if it's not folding over properly when scanning, so that's an easy thing to check. If it is the lift arm on the carriage then this will have to be investigated, gears out of line or broke etc.
Hope to hear how you get on,
Martin

This would be a carriage fault. Check the main cam for fractured nylon
sections...
