Rock0Ola Grand Prix not cancelling out the selection made...
I mean, the coil for the appropriate cancel 'lever' or any of those two
coils, not being energized. What could be the trouble? Cheers, Steve. |

The reset coil is fired cby the number two micro switch and through
bcontacts in the control box and the slip nring assembly. This occurs just as the tone arm starts to move towards the record. Do you have the service manual, it's a big help, shows all this with pictures. Charlie maier |

Charlie, your a great resource for us juke repair techs! I haven't checked
the microswitch, I will when I return to the clients house. BTW, I recently reconditionned the entire mech and these microswitches might have been thrown out of adjustment now that you mention it. Thanks once again Charlie. Cheers, Steve. wrote in message ups.com... The reset coil is fired cby the number two micro switch and through bcontacts in the control box and the slip nring assembly. One of the tricks with those old style black micros is when you mount
them, lift them up from the bottom, this puts them closer to the acuators and is probably how the factory had them adjusted. Another thing, if you have this assembly out, replace the three adjustment screws, the dreaded Bristol Spline with three 4-40 phillips head screws. If you don't have the bristol wrench to remove them, try a pair of vice grips. Makes future adjustments so much easier. Charlie |
