This WWII U.S. Army Air Force Officers Visor Cap is in excellent condition.
It is an OD Wool Cap having an officers gilt eagle and brown leather visor.
The chin strap is light brown leather with gilt screw-type eagle buttons.
The inside of the cap has a brown leather sweat band. There is a
manufactures label (100% wool felt, leather visor, leather sweat, Mfg. No.
3187, Gordon Mfg. Co., Size 7). The inside top has a silk lining and a
plastic pocket with manufacturers logo (The Gordonia Caps, Tailored for
Style and Quality, Louisville, Kentucky). The cover is in excellent
condition with absolutely no moth holes or stains. There is also no loose
stitching to sweatband or visor. This is one of the nicest visors I have
seen in many years.
