Michel is beginning to release its catalogs in English - the next
releases were recently featured on its website. www.michel.de LN in DC On Mon, 12 Jan 2004 12:02:59 -0500, "Frank Emanuel" wrote: "Dakota" wrote in message . com... 1. Otherwise you're stuck (stuck being very important) with either Scott or Gibbons. Nah, just go ahead and get the Michel - even if you have to get it in German. I have a Michel in German and can basically say good night in the language. It is full colour, nicely laid out and the guide for English speakers makes it easily accessible. After all it is a catalogue - you don't need a lot of vocab or grammer to use a catalogue. I would recommend Michel. BTW I use it in tandem with my Scott as everyone around here uses Scott numbering. Thanks, Patrick (remove the xyz to email) Patrick: For die-hard NZ collectors, several of my NZ collector friends have recommended the Campbell Patterson NZ Stamp Catalogue. Campbell Patterson is the most detailed NZ stampcatalogue. http://www.cpnzstamps.co.nz/index.asp?page=catalogue If you do not need the detail then Stanley Gibbons is your next best choice. Gibbons Part 1 British Commonwealth Countries J -Z 2002 Or [Note: The Stanley Gibbons Commonwealth Catalogue will be printed in one volume to 1952. From 1952 to date. After 1952 Countries will be issued separately in loose leaf 4 ring system.] Gibbons NEW STYLE Part 1 1840 - 1952 New 2004 EDITION Sept 14 Gibbons British Empire Vol 1 Asia, Australasia and the Pacific 1840 - 1952 http://www.veratrinder.co.uk/ ================================================== ==== For Germany, if you want detail, get Michel in German.
