Marines screwed by the Corps
Don Phillipson wrote: "The Bobino" wrote in message ps.com... OK Mr. Canadian-know-it-all - let's put YOU in a war zone where it is impossible to tell combatants from civilians and see what you do. Oh yeah, and you can only be about 18 or 19 years old. French and German imperial troops had buckets of experience in this kind of thing. WTF does that have to do with the war in Iraq, you empty-headed windbag? As I suspected, you have no concept of what the soldiers in Iraq are experiencing and just enjoy pompously gassing off. |

Marines screwed by the Corps
"The U.S. military plans to charge Marines in the killing of 24
civilians in Haditha, Iraq, on Thursday, according to sources familiar with the case." So we send them over there to kill Iraqis and when they do we courtmartial them? Great incentive to join the armed forces: obey orders and WE'LL kill you! Sounds like this guy's military ideal is the Rape of Nanking. Maybe somebody could oblige him with a bibliography of it? I'd bet John in Japan knows the Japanese sources. ============== j-c ====== @ ====== purr . demon . co . uk ============== Jack Campin: 11 Third St, Newtongrange EH22 4PU, Scotland | tel 0131 660 4760 http://www.purr.demon.co.uk/jack/ for CD-ROMs and free | fax 0870 0554 975 stuff: Scottish music, food intolerance, & Mac logic fonts | mob 07800 739 557 |

You requested information, factual information was provided, which you acknowledged only with abuse. 2. WTF that has to do with Iraq is that the country (with a prehistory of milennia) was a 20th century creation, first with a king and Westminster-style government, policed in the formation period (20 years) by a unique method, "air control" by RAF aircraft, not ground troops. Iraq was also the single most important archaeological site in the world, i.e. many staff of the world's great antiquities museums had lived and worked there (unlike US soldiers.) -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada) |

In other words, it has nothing to do with the topic under discussion. As I suspected, you're just another America-hating bag of wind. |

That post was about killing without valid orders. You seem to have some difficulty sticking to the point. The USCMJ is not a secret document. 2. FYI I was born neither American nor Canadian but in another NATO country: and volunteered and served 4 years in uniform in the 1950s. This is probably a reasonable sample of professional military life. -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada) |

The topic is (or was) the war in Iraq and the U.S. government's unjustified persecution of innocent soldiers . You brought up French and German imperial troops and other assorted nonsensical crap and you now have the effrontery to say I can't stick to the point!?!?!? You ludicrous blowhard, you can't seem to focus at all! Go put on your tin-foil hat and visit some other newsgroup to spew your anti-American venom! |
