Default Election: I am Ashamed to be an American

100,000 innocent Iraqi people have been murdered by George W Bush. We should
lower our heads in SHAME that the American people voted to give this criminal 4
more years. God Save America.

This **** doesn't belong in this group. At least have the common courtesy
to mark it OT if you're going to put it here.

Let me be an early contributor to the BY leaving the country forever fund.
Don't forget the letter to the State Dept. renouncing your US citizenship so
we can be sure to keep you out.

BTW try your next post in a political newsgroup. The Republicans won and
the Democrats lost. Deal with it.

Bill,

Let's first assume that you are correct, and that George Bush is directly
responsible for the deaths of 100,000 innocent Iraqis (which I would say is
probably a little high for civilian casualties, even for Liberal estimates).
Let's also assume now that Bush had never given the order to oust a ruthless
dictator, who, by the way, has killed more innocent Iraqis than any outside
force (American, Iranian, etc.). How long would it be before you posted to
this group saying "the madness has to stop, we have to do something about a
ruthless dictator who is killing his own people?" I hope that you would
eventually get to that point. Now, let's assume that Al Gore had won the
election in 2000. Would there be any point at which you would criticize
Gore for NOT taking out Hussein? Do you think that Gore would have (or even
could have) handled the situation any better?

Why have you insisted upon wasting our time? This is a coin group, not a
political group. Do you think that spouting a political view like this, in
a coin newsgroup, and attaching your companies name to will increase your
coins sales at all, or do you not mind that you have just alienated what by
all counts is about 51% of the readers of this newsgroup? For the record, I
didn't vote for Bush this time. I didn't vote for Kerry either. I don't
necessarily agree with everything that Bush has done in the last 4 years. I
do believe that the invasion of Iraq was right, and I don't believe that
this newsgroup is the proper place for this drivel!

FWIW (I am not interested in getting into another Iraq debate here), the
100,000 figure was recently published by The Lancet, a well renowned
British medical magazine.

Editorial http://image.thelancet.com/extras/04cmt384web.pdf.
Article Text http://image.thelancet.com/extras/04art10342web.pdf

The authors point out that the above is an estimate, and that it is
quite difficult to get accurate data.

Appears to me that you do have a serious case of craniorectal inversion.

The political process that was established by our founding fathers is far
more important than whatever soreheads such as yourself may think about any
particular election.

Whatever you may care to say about Bush, far worse was said about Lincoln
during his terms of office. It was not until long after he was dead that his
place in history emerged. I suspect that the same may be true for "Dubya."

Finally, I don't think the Iraqi people are all that innocent. I don't
believe that they should be indiscriminately killed, of course. But if the
German people can be held responsible for Hitler, then the Iraqi people can
also be held responsible for Saddaam Hussein and his murderous regime, and
for the consequences of overthrowing that regime.. If Iraqis had insisted on
a responsible government none of this would have happened. Appears to me
that the only real difference between them and the Nazis was the greater
warmaking capability of the Germans.

After WWII, of course, all surviving German civilians were innocent ... no
doubt many of them really were. But when it comes to the behavior of
governments, I do believe in collective guilt.

Move to canada, let the door hit you on the way out.

Why impose this person on our friends and neighbors to the north? What makes
you think that Canada would take him? I understand that Canadian officials have
already stated that it would take a year for unhappy Kerry voters to be allowed
permission to emigrate. Good on ya, eh?
